Chatper 2065

Quincy paused, took a deep breath, and spoke with authority to the gathered crowd. "Our nation has always believed in winningwith virtue.

"If we've decided on a duel, it must be an honorable one-on-one fight. Even if we win, it won't truly be a victory if it's not donefairly!"

Upon hearing this, the commotion slowly began to calm. The crowd might disagree, but they understood the importance of fairplay in this martial art contest between the two nations.

“Elder Douglas! You hold the highest status here. We all respect you. Choose a skilled martial artist to teach those two a lesson, and let Dragonmarsh rise in pride!"

"That's right! We can't take this lightly. We must give it our all this time!"

Amidst the clamor, everyone urged Quincy to pick another martial artist for the challenge.

Quincy nodded and looked at the crowd. He then thundered, "The opponent is strong, and we shouldn't take them lightly!"He added, "I've got a condition this time: only those who are at the advanced divine level or higher can participate.

“Now, all you heroes and brave ones, who's up for the challenge to bring honor to our nation?"

As he spoke, the noise in the venue suddenly went down by half. Meeting the requirement of being at an advanced divine levelor higher was tough.

Most of the people there were low-level martial artists, and only a few had reached the divine level. Those at the advanced divinelevel were considered elites and were rare.

The key point was that even with an advanced divine level, winning was not guaranteed. So, for a while, very few people daredto speak up, and everyone looked around.

In this situation, maybe only those big shots who rule the scene could break the deadlock. For example, Quincy himself. At this moment, Ruby suddenly said, "Crystal, why don't you go up there and teach that brat a lesson."She added, "You're a fully developed divine-level martial artist, perfect for the task. Dealing with that brat should be a breeze."

Crystal stayed quiet, glancing at Miles, who had just woken up looking pale. Miles lost earlier, making the Sword Union look badand attracting a lot of criticism.

Even though she wanted to get revenge, she wasn't sure she could win. She hadn't been able to gauge Marco's depththroughout the entire duel.

After all, Miles couldn't even block a single blow, making it impossible to discern the opponent's true strength.

If she volunteered and ended up like Miles, it would be a devastating blow to the Sword Union's reputation. Crystal didn't want totake that risk, so she decided to stay silent.

Dalen turned his attention to Dustin with a grin. "You want to give it a shot? Show us your skills and represent the nation?"

"Me?" Dustin grinned slightly. "Mr. Shade, why do you think | can beat Marco?"

"Just a gut feeling," Dalen said, casually waving his folding fan.

"Dalen, | think you would be disappointed. If Miles couldn't handle it, what chance does he have? It would just be embarrassing."Ruby scoffed at Dustin.

An unknown person couldn't be compared to a Sword Union disciple, right?

“Hmph! Just because Miles failed doesn't mean Mr. Rhys won't succeed!" Laurel retorted.

“What's the matter? You think you're more outstanding than us Sword Union disciples?" Ruby glared at Laurel.

"So what if you're from the Sword Union? Besides Glenn, who else stands out?" Willow joined in with a mocking tone. This comment struck a nerve, infuriating Ruby.novelbin

At that moment, Miles spat out blood. His eyes rolled back, and he passed out again.
