Chatper 1969

At this moment, Dustin was trailing behind the group 300 feet away. He secretly unsheathed his sword.

Dustin purposely stayed at the back when he saw Aidan in danger. Then, Dustin threw out a shot as fast as lightning. The shot was so subtle that nobody noticed. It easily sliced the golden vine into two, saving Aidan.

The reason why Dustin saved him was because they were in the same group. Plus, Aidan still had some use to him.As Grace said, all of the forces had already entered the oasis. Moreover, most of them were skillful martial artists. Before Dustin found Dracan essence, he shouldn't expose his identity.

After all, Aidan’s existence could help get rid of a lot of problems. Aidan was a grandmaster martial artist. Thus, he was morethan capable of dealing with petty martial artists.

Dustin only sent out that shot after considering that factor.

Although the golden vine was powerful, it was only at a grandmaster martial artist’s level. Thus, it couldn’t withstand an ultimategrandmaster’s attack.

In the middle of the battlefield, the silver and gray vine started to buzz after the golden vine was chopped off.The sound of swooshing over the air could be heard as all of the vines crazily aimed toward Aidan. The attacks were continuous and overwhelming. It left no room for defense or time for Aidan to find a place. to hide.

Aidan didn’t have time to think. Immediately, he picked up the twin blades and activated his internal energy. Then, he began tocut down the vines that were attacking.

The golden vine was swift and powerful, making it hard to break through. However, the normal vines were different. The silver and gray vines posed no real threat to Aidan. The latter could still easily deal with them despite being injured.

Just as Aidan thought he was no longer at risk, he felt scared after seeing something. He found that the golden vine that waschopped didn’t die.

After oozing out a large amount of golden liquid, the golden vine’s injury began to heal at a visible speed. Plus, the end of its vinegrew rapidly.

Its vitality was truly shocking!

“How could this be?” Aidan’s eyes widened anxiously. Aidan didn’t know who was the expert who chopped off the golden vineand saved him from danger.

Unexpectedly, the golden vine didn’t die but continued to grow. If the golden vine were to heal and return to its original state,Aidan would be in big trouble.

Thinking of this, Aidan immediately wanted to retreat. As he was injured, he could no longer fight against the golden vine. He hadto retreat immediately.

“Fuck off!” Aidan shouted. The twin blades immediately erupted with a blade aura that shot toward its surroundings like rain. The vines that got close would be sliced by the blade aura.

The remnants of the vines rained down and scattered on the ground. Within a radius of 15 feet of Aidan, it became like a deathzone. Any living being that approached would be diced up.

While attacking, Aidan ran at the same time. He couldn't pay attention to his energy consumption, and the internal energy in hisbody gushed out like a tidal wave.

The vines that blocked his way were split up.

Aidan knew well that he had to break through the encirclement in one go. Otherwise, he wouldn't be able to escape if the goldenvine recovered.

After a frantic battle, Aidan finally rushed out of the encirclement and met up with the team ahead.

Perhaps it was out of their attack range, for the vines didn’t go after him. After showing their fangs at them, the gray and silvervines returned to the ground while protecting the golden vine.

Everything returned to normal as if nothing had happened just now.

However, they could tell how bad the fight was just by the remnants of the vines and human corpses on the ground.

“That was close. | finally managed to escape!” Aidan wiped the sweat on his forehead and sighed in relief.novelbin

Thankfully, he didn’t stay and fight. Otherwise, there would be huge consequences if he got caught.

“Mr. Ridge, you're indeed amazing! You actually made the vines retreat by yourself. How admirable!”

“That’s Sandscale, alright! You live up to your reputation!”

“It's all thanks to you for saving us. Otherwise, a lot of people would have died this time!”

After seeing that the crisis was averted, everyone surrounded Aidan and started to praise him.

They didn’t manage to see what happened as they were busy running. When they successfully broke out of the encirclement, they turned around and saw the golden vine had been severed into two.

Meanwhile, Aidan was wielding the twin blades and fought fiercely. He had forcefully got rid of all the vines in his way with hisformidable skills.

They couldn’t help but respect him after seeing such a scene.

“What?” Aidan couldn’t help but look at them oddly as everyone praised him. He was unsure if he felt happy or sad.

Although the others didn’t know what happened, he knew it well. Aidan would have died if the expert hadn’t secretly helped him.Judging by how the expert had sliced the golden vine easily using sword aura, the expert was way more capable than him.Aidan even had a brave speculation. The expert might be an ultimate grandmaster!

However, the problem was that they were currently in the middle of nowhere. There were no outsiders around, either.

It was too much of a coincidence that an ultimate grandmaster would stumble upon them.

Perhaps the expert might be hidden among them!

When Aidan thought that, his breath hitched, and he scanned his surroundings to try and find the expert.

However, all he saw were unfamiliar young faces. Some of the older individuals seemed subpar compared to the experts.Perhaps an expert really saved him by coincidence.

“Mr. Ridge, what happened? Your expression seems a bit weird.” Jackson asked in confusion.

“Not much. | feel a bit tired after using too much energy just now. I'll be fine after a rest.”

Aidan shook his head before suddenly asking, “Oh, right. Who helped me block that attack just now?”
