Chatper 1925

Observing Ryan’s distressed state, Grace quickly reassured him, “Ryan, calm down. You're safe now. Nothing can hurt you here. You don't have to be afraid.”

If she didn’t, they wouldn’t be able to extract any useful information from him with his current emotional state.

However, Ryan remained engulfed by fear, unable to calm down. He continued clutching his head, trembling, and muttering tohimself.novelbin

“Is he ... losing his mind? What do we do now?” Kayson grew anxious. The money bag that was at hand was now mentallyunstable. What a headache.

“Dustin, is there any way to calm him down?” Grace asked, giving him a sidelong glance.

“Easy.” Without much ado, Dustin produced a silver needle and inserted it right into the nape of Ryan’s neck. Almost instantly,Ryan shuddered and then peacefully fell unconscious on the bed.

“This is your method?” Grace looked at him quizzically. While Ryan was now calm, how were they supposed to question himwhile he was unconscious?

“Ryan is too distressed right now to provide any answers. This needle will help him relax. Let him sleep for an hour, and when hewakes up, he should be back to normal,” Dustin explained.

“That’s good to know.” Grace breathed a sigh of relief.

At that moment, Paco, the middle- aged man who was guarding the courtyard, suddenly rushed in. He looked flustered, and hischeek was swollen, clearly having been slapped.

“A disturbance? Who dares to cause trouble in Dusthaven Village?” Kayson’s expression darkened.

To manage a village so efficiently in such a harsh environment required certain abilities. Not only was he acquainted with manymartial arts experts, but he had also formed a security team.

In the past, ignorant troublemakers who acted recklessly in the village would be beaten half to death and then expelled.

“The intruders seem strong. We were no match for them and were defeated within minutes.” Paco appeared depressed, completely losing his previous arrogance.

“Hmph! Useless!” Kayson scolded before leaving the room.

Dustin and Grace exchanged glances and followed Kayson outside. Any disturbances in the village at that moment were likelyrelated to Ryan.

Acrowd had already gathered at the courtyard entrance, with numerous forces surrounding the gate and blocking the entryway.

The Embersteel Order, Frostwing Sect, Sandscale Aidan Ridge, and various other sects from the southwest, both big and small, including expedition
