Chatper 1906

Julius’ remarks attracted many sidelong glances. As the former Grand General of the Iron Stallion Cavalry, while his characterwas highly controversial, his capabilities were unquestionable.novelbin

After all, he was only able to assume his current position through numerous hard-fought battles.

If someone as charismatic and visionary as Julius similarly believed that Logan was the most suitable for the throne, they wouldhave to reassess their views.

Initially, they supported Austin because of Logan’s perceived lack of influence. However, that didn’t seem to be the case now.

With the support of influential figures like Adam, the God of Military, and Julius, the Iron Stallion Cavalry Grand General, manywere reconsidering their decisions.

“Julius, could you please elaborate on your reasons for choosing Logan?” Rufus asked with a smile.“My reasons are similar to Sergeant Spanner’s. | value a person’s talent and capability.”

Julius earnestly explained, “In the recent eradication of the Dragon Guard remnants, | believe each of you witnessed how Logansuccessfully took out the cunning Reagan Judd through his strategic planning and execution.

“At the same time, he managed to seize all the treasures belonging to the Dragon Guard. This is an undeniably significantachievement.

“In essence, Logan possesses both bravery and strategic acumen, making him the best candidate for the throne.“As for Austin, he’s more than qualified to be the Grand General. But as a Prince, he still falls short in comparison.”

Before Rufus could respond, Tyrus rose angrily and rebuked, “Nonsense! The success in eliminating the remnants of the DragonGuard wasn’t solely Prince Logan’s achievement. Prince Austin had also made significant contributions.

“How would the plan have proceeded smoothly without Prince Austin’s assistance? In terms of talent and capability, PrinceAustin is absolutely comparable to Prince Logan. He is also younger and has more potential!”

“Sir Storm, there’s no need to get worked up. This is a family conversation, and | was just speakingcasually. | have no decision-making power. The real authority lies with my brother,” Julius responded calmly.

While he never intended to get involved, Julius sensed Rufus’ clear preference for Logan and went along with it to show hissupport.

After all, their opinions were merely suggestions, and the ultimate decision rested with Rufus.

“You didn’t express yourself clearly, which could easily lead to misunderstandings. | have to clarify your explanations,” Tyrus saidcoldly.

How did a traitor dare speak so shamelessly? What a complete lack of awareness.“I've heard all of your suggestions,” Rufus spoke again, interrupting the discussions.

“Some of you are in favor of Logan, while others support Austin. This indicates that both my sons are exceptionally outstanding. However, there's only one throne, and | must choose only one of them.”

With that, Rufus shifted his attention to Logan and Austin. “Logan, Austin, do you think you have the capability to take on therole?”“Dad, | can’t be the Prince since | lack the knowledge and experience. You should pass it to Logan,” Austin stated bluntly.

As long as Dustin was around, he would never think about becoming the Prince. To him, family was much more important thanthe throne.

However, his sincere declaration left his supporters anxious. Tyrus and the others, in particular, displayed noticeable shifts intheir expressions.

What kind of joke was this?

After ardently supporting Austin for the throne, he now voluntarily relinquished it when the throne was within reach. What waswrong with him?

“And you, Logan?” Rufus asked. 1

“I'm not interested in the throne. I’ve only returned to eliminate the remnants of the Dragon Guard. With that problem dealt with, |have no more reason to stay.

“I'll be leaving in a few days, so it’s most fitting for Austin to assume the throne,” Logan commented indifferently.
