Chatper 1875

Dustin smiled and replied, “Austin, it seems like you've learned a lot in the army these past few years.“You're right. We can’t barge into the base so recklessly. At least, we need to find out what's inside.

“The castle’s spies can’t continue any further. There are way too many capable people in Dragon Guard. Thus, | decided to goinvestigate by myself.”

Austin was a bit worried. “Isn’t this too dangerous? You need to remember that you're the future king of West Lucozia.“Let me go instead. I’m also a grandmaster martial artist. | can get away in time even if | encounter a dangerous situation.”

Dustin rejected, “No way! Although you're capable, you can’t confront those top martial artists in Dragon Guard on your own. IfReagan finds you, you won't even have the chance to run away.”

“But-” Just as Austin was about to say something else, he was cut off by Dustin raising his hand.“No ‘buts.’ I’m the one in command for this mission. Thus, | order you to stay here and wait for my update.”After saying that, Dustin was out the door with the top-grade spy. Although Austin was worried, there was nothing he could do.

Austin knew that Dustin was the only one who could sneak inside the Dragon Guard's base. Thus, he could only hope thatDustin could proceed smoothly.

Under the spy’s lead, Dustin moved swiftly. After traversing mountains and hills, they quickly reached the Dragon Guard’s base.

Just as Austin said, there was a huge wall at the front of the base. The wall stood in front of the valley like an insurmountablebarrier.

After taking a closer look, Dustin found that there were many Dragon Guard spies lurking around. If it were an ordinary martialartist, they would have been noticed before even nearing the wall.

“Hide yourself, and don’t get yourself caught. I’ll go in by myself,” Dustin whispered to the spy. With a light step, he transformedinto an indiscernible black shadow and jumped onto treetops.

The surrounding tall trees provided a good spot for Dustin to hide and obstruct one’s line of sight.novelbin

Although Dragon Guard had placed many spies around the area, Dustin could effortlessly evade their surveillance with hiscultivation level.

Dustin’s figure moved silently in the silent night. He glided over the tops of the trees like a ghost. He was so fast that it wasalmost like he was imperceptible.

Others might find it difficult to spot him during the day, not to mention at night. At that moment, a Dragon Guard spy dressed innight attire was about 650 feet away from the wall. He was silently sitting on a rock, observing his surroundings.

The spy seamlessly blended with his surroundings. If he didn’t move, they might not even notice him even if they looked closely.

At that moment, the spy felt a cold wind brushing past his head. When the spy looked up to see, he didn’t manage to findanything. The sky was quiet, without even a single bird flying across.

“Number three, did you find anything unusual?” the spy whispered while placing his finger near the earpiece.

There was another spy situated about 300 feet away. They were in a pincer formation. That way, they could provide mutualsupport and observe their surroundings without having any blind spots.

“It's calm and peaceful here. No anomalies detected.” An answer sounded from the earpiece.

“| might be overthinking. Never mind. Let’s stay focused.” The spy didn’t say anything more. He started to scan his surroundingsagain, not wanting to miss any movement.

Unbeknownst to him, Dustin had already flown across his head. After avoiding all the spies, he climbed along the wall andcrossed over it. Then, he entered Dragon Guard's secret base.

When Dustin saw the scale of the base, he couldn't help but feel shocked. He didn’t expect to find such a large military facility insuch a desolate place, not to mention it was equipped with comprehensive facilities.

There were tanks, airplanes, cannons, and various types of heavy and light weapons. Moreover, there were at least 50 thousandtroops in the base based on the size of its buildings.

With such an abundance of heavy weaponry and elite soldiers, the base could be described as impregnable! If Dustin had attacked hastily, the West Lucozian monarchy would have suffered heavy losses.

“Thankfully, | came to see it for myself. Otherwise, we would be facing significant losses.” Dustin furrowed hiseyebrows.

Nobody would have expected such a powerful force to be hidden in a remote place. It was no wonder Dragon Guard dared toassassinate Rufus so brazenly. They had solid backing, after all.

With such a powerful fortress, they were fearless of their enemies. Most importantly, the place was strategically defensible andeasily guarded.

If something happened, Reagan could escape overseas to avoid any trouble.

“With how tight the defense is here, we need at least 100 thousand soldiers from Black Dragon Army to win.

“The problem is that Dragon Guard will definitely get wind of us mobilizing so many soldiers. All of our efforts will be in vain if welet the cat out of the bag. What should we do?”

Dustin furrowed his eyebrows as he fell deep in thought.

It was too difficult to just attack without a strategy. Plus, it would incur significant costs.

If they wanted to defeat Dragon Guard with minimum cost and the quickest way possible, there was only one way — eliminatingthe head!

Dustin would need to kill Reagan, the head of Dragon Guard. This way, Dragon Guard would be left without a leader. After that, Dustin would capture all of them.

However, there was a significant drawback to that plan. Dustin must have a capable assassination team, and each member mustbe a grandmaster martial artist.

Otherwise, it would be difficult to implement this plan. Naturally, the most important point was to get rid of Reagan.

As the fifth most formidable martial artist in Astonishing World List, Reagan’s skills were unquestionable. If Dustin failed to killReagan first, his plan would definitely fail.

In the end, it all depended on Julius if he could successfully poison Reagan.

“Right. Julius!” Dustin raised an eyebrow. Immediately, he started searching inside the base. The signal on Julius had beendisconnected. Thus, there was a high chance he was hidden in the base.

Dustin needed to check if Julius would do as planned.

In other words, he wanted to see if Julius would betray the West Lucozia monarchy.

In the pitch-black night, Dustin’s figure moved erratically like a phantom.

Wherever Dustin went, nobody noticed him. Just like that, he successfully avoided patrol teams and all prying eyes.

“Who's there?” Just as he passed by an armory, a soldier seemed to sense him. Suddenly, the soldier became alert and drew theblade at his waist.
