Chatper 1849

If Julius did that, it would be akin to walking into his own demise.

“Hmph! At least you're self-aware.”novelbin

Julius sneered and continued, “Rufus, your youngest son has already admitted defeat. So, where is your eldest son?”“Logan, you've hidden long enough. Don’t you think it’s time to reveal yourself?” Rufus spoke loudly.

Although he hadn't laid eyes on Logan, he sensed his presence. In the previous case involving Russo, it was Logan’s tip -off thatprovided him the opportunity to eliminate the pests.

Now, with such a significant incident happening in the monarchy, given his son’s character, he would definitely not stand by idly.2

“| can’t believe you not only deceived Julius but also all of us, you sly fox. And now, you're even having me serve as yourscapegoat. Is this really appropriate?”

After a brief moment of hesitation, Dustin finally removed his prosthetic mask. With Rufus still alive, the monarchy remained inpower. Dustin had no choice but to reveal himself in the current circumstances. 1

Despite feeling somewhat cornered, he recognized that Rufus had made this decision in his best interest, as today presented thebest moment to solidify his standing and prestige.

Defeating Julius, the Grand General of the Black Dragon Army, in front of his troops, would pave the way for his futuresuccession by removing significant obstacles.

“What? Logan is actually him?” The revelation of Dustin’s true identity left everyone in shock.

No one had anticipated the mysterious and skilled master who defeated Elijah earlier to be the Kirin who had been missing for adecade. 2

The impact of this revelation rivaled that of Rufus’ resurrection. It seemed cunningness ran in the family, with both father and sonproving to be masters of surprises.

“It's you? How is that possible?” Julius’ expression conveyed shock.

He had thought Logan was gone for good, never expecting him to be so close. Moreover, he lacked confidence in securing asure victory based on the skills Logan displayed earlier.

“Dear all, | apologize for concealing my identity. However, it was necessary at the time. | hope you understand.” After revealinghis identity, Dustin bowed toward the members of the monarchy.

“Logan, when did you come back?” Eloise was stunned. After looking at Dustin, she shifted her attention to Austin. Austin smiledawkwardly, pretending not to notice.

“I've been back for a few days now. | heard the monarchy was facing a crisis, so | helped out in secret. But due to certainreasons, | couldn’t expose my identity.“Unfortunately, | was still unable to hide it from this sly fox.” Dustin swept a gaze over to Rufus, his expression reflecting various

emotions.

When he had heard the news of his father’s supposed death, he had struggled to contain his emotions. However, it all turned outto be part of Rufus’ elaborate scheme.

Rufus had orchestrated his own death as a way to lure out those with ulterior motives and eliminate them.Dustin had to admit that it was a cunning move. It was so well executed that it even deceived those closest to him.

Although Julius excelled in both civil and military affairs and had remarkable strategic acumen, he remained significantlyoutmatched by the visionary Rufus.

Whether orchestrating his fake death or meticulously planning this duel, Rufus had manipulated Julius unwittingly from start tofinish.

This was Prince Rufus of West Lucozia’s strategic depth!
