Chatper 1547

The news about the Black Grizzy Gang's doom spread quickly throughout the slum. The gangs who initially had set Dustin astheir target avoided him like the plague.

The Black Grizzly Gang was one of the major gangs in the slum. No one expected them, especially their elite fighters, to be killedin the blink of an eye.

Those who knew what was good for them wouldn't dare to mess with Dustin.

With Lana by his side, Dustin drove out of the slum without any trouble. The story of the mighty warrior began to spread in theslum.

After half an hour, they arrived at the entrance of Lana's private mansion.

“Hey, Handsome, do you want to come in for a while?" As Lana got out of the car, she invited Dustin in with a smile. Her dress was torn. Her tattered clothes revealed her fair legs and sexy body.

"Thanks, but no thanks. It's already late. You should get some rest." Dustin rejected politely.

"Handsome, I'm a little scared to be alone now. How about you stay here with me for tonight? If a bad guy comes again, you canprotect me better. How's that?" Lana gave him another excuse.

"If you're afraid, | can send a couple of bodyguards to stand guard in front of your house. It's safer this way," Dustin replied."| trust you more than anyone else." Lana looked a little disenchanted as she continued, "Besides, the house is kind of dark.

“What if the bad guys are hiding inside? Why don't you come in with me to have a look around? I'm not the strongest, you know? Are you afraid that I'll eat you alive?"

“Well ..." Dustin was put on the spot. In the end, he nodded reluctantly. "Alright then, I'll go in with you and have a look around."

"You've made the right decision. Welcome to my humble home!" Lana gave him a sweet smile and opened the door happily asshe invited Dustin into her mansion.

The interior decoration of the house looked refreshing, with pastel colors as the main theme. It exuded the vibe of a youthful ladyas dolls and soft toys were in every corner of the house.

There was also a shelf full of precious figurines. Dustin was quite surprised to see the decoration.

On any normal day, Lana had always exuded the vibe of a mature woman. He had no idea she was such a girlish and fun lady atheart. It was such a huge difference from her usual self.

"| don't normally stay here. That's why it's a little messy. Hey, Handsome, make yourself at home. I'm going to shower andchange into something else." Lana walked up the stairs right away after informing Dustin.

Dustin didn't stay idle. He went around the mansion to make sure that everything was alright. He feared Scott would keep a trickor two up his sleeves and kidnap Lana again. That'd be troublesome.

He walked around the house and checked every nook and cranny. He only returned to the living room when he was sureeverything was fine.novelbin

Acollection of family photos was at the center of the shelf in the living room. Dustin was curious and decided to look at thepictures.

Soon, he realized that the collection of pictures was a memoir of Lana's childhood.

The family had pictures together from when Lana was a baby until she graduated from college.

It was obvious that Lana was beautiful since young. Of course, she took after her mother's good looks. The three of them lookedjovial with their smiling faces. They were a blissfully happy family.

However, this bliss only lasted till Lana was 18 years old. There were only two people in the family photo after that.

Only Lana and her father, Matteo Camron, were in the photo. Her mother was no longer in the frame.

There were only two possible explanations for this. It was either her mother passed away, or her parents divorced.

“What are you looking at?" With rollers in her wet hair, Lana walked down the stairs slowly, wearing a silky pink nightgown.

When she saw Dustin looking at the pictures, she smiled slightly and said, "There's nothing to see here as they are all oldpictures. | was very young then and wasn't the most eye-catching."
