Chapter 1429

“Alright... he’s here. Good luck,” Lana said with a mischievous smile. She subtly jutted her chin in a certain direction.

Dustin followed her gaze and saw a young man dressed in a classy suit making his way to the second floor. With his long hairand a folding fan in hand, he exuded an old-school charm. It reminded Dustin of classic movie stars.

Surrounded by a group of bodyguards and attendants, it was clear that this guy was the center of attention. Anyone attempting toget closer was swiftly blocked. There was no doubt that these bodyguards meant business.

“How about it? He looks pretty good, right? If you're into that sort of thing, you won't be at a loss, either.” Lana chuckled, coveringher mouth.

The excitement in her eyes couldn’t be concealed. The prospect of a showdown between two men really thrilled her.

She was eager to find an opportunity to sneak a film and enjoy it to the fullest. Dustin couldn't help but roll his eyes at Lana’splayful antics. “Could you please be a bit more serious, Lana?”

But Lana just grinned, her eyes filled with excitement. “Hey, business meetings can be fun too, you know.”Dustin, trying to maintain his professionalism, retorted, “Just so we’re clear, I’m not here to sell myself.”

Lana’s response was a mischievous wink. “Well, it might not come to that if you can convince Bo. Who knows, he might beinterested in what you're offering.”

Dustin raised an eyebrow. “Are you trying to get me into trouble, Lana?”

Lana feigned innocence, but her eyes sparkled mischievously. “Oh, come on, Dustin. I’m a perfectly respectable lady. I’m not intoany of that stuff.”

Dustin let out a resigned sigh. “Alright, I’m going to go and feel out the situation.”

Taking a deep breath, he drained his teacup. Then, he stood up and made his way toward the private room where Bo waslocated.

Inside Bo’s private room, a squad of bodyguards maintained a tight security perimeter. They ensured that no strangers could getclose.

Even the servers delivering food and tea were required to stop at the door. The Dawson family had clearly taken everyprecaution to eliminate potential risks.

“Who are you? Stop right there!” one of the bodyguards demanded sternly.

As Dustin approached the door, he was abruptly stopped by a wall of imposing bodyguards. These beefy guards were likehuman walls. They blocked Dustin’s line of sight and prevented him from seeing what was happening inside.

Dustin remained calm. He asked politely, “Is Mr. Dawson inside?”The bodyguards remained vigilant, ready to react to any unusual movements. “So what if he is? Mr.Dawson doesn’t meet with outsiders. Please leave immediately.”

They'd draw their weapons at the slightest hint of trouble from Dustin. “No need to be so uptight. | mean no harm,” he reassuredthem.

“Could you please tell him that I’m here to discuss a business matter? | believe he would be interested,” Dustin requested, attempting to get his message across.“Business?” The bodyguards shared a brief glance before scrutinizing Dustin’s appearance.

He was a good-looking man, the type Bo usually liked. However, despite his looks, coming from an unknown source might notwork in his favor.

“Meeting Mr. Dawson requires a formal request and identity verification. Once we've confirmed your identity, Mr. Dawson willdecide whether to see you.”

Dustin furrowed his brow, a bit frustrated. “Is it really that complicated?”

“Complicated?” The guard scoffed. ” Every day, countless people request to see him. If you find it too bothersome, you'rewelcome to leave.”

What was this man thinking? The Dawson family was top-tier, and Bo was the sole heir. It wasn’t just a matter of showing upunannounced and meeting up.novelbin

“Please inform Mr. Dawson that | have important business,” Dustin said, making a polite gesture.
