Chapter 1164

An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori Chapter 1164

Ray Reeds looked like he was in his early 30s, but he was already a fully developed divine-level martial artist. It could be saidthat his innate ability was one of the best among the younger generation in Balerno and even Oakvale.

“You're not bad, old man. Ray moved his slightly numb arm. He smirked, “In the whole of Balerno, not many can still stand aftertaking a punch from me.”

“You're quite good yourself, kid. Too bad you're still too inexperienced.”Cornelius shook his head and said, “If you leave now, youcan save yourself some pain. If not, | won't be holding back.”

Ray laughed. “Old man, you really think you could defeat me?”

He turned his head sideways, tightened his fists, and sneered, “That was just a warm-up. If | actually put in effort, | can defeatyou any minute.”

“Hmph! Cocky!” Cornelius’ face darkened. “You're punching above your weight. Let me teach you a real lesson today!”As he spoke, he jumped and shot out like an arrow. He shouted as his fist landed on Ray’s chest. “Fire Punch!”

Ray didn’t escape. Instead, he let out an angry cry and swung his fist out. When they were at an arm’s length from each other, awhite smoky substance suddenly sprayed out from Ray’s sleeve.

Cornelius’ pupil constricted, and he instinctively closed his eyes to protect himself. However, it was too late. The white substancewas sprayed all over his face. He staggered backward. He felt dizzy and weak all over.

He initially thought the white substance could be ash, so he closed his eyes to protect himself. He didn’t know that it was actuallya tranquilizer. It was such a strong tranquilizer that not even his true energy could resist. “Here | come!”

Ray took advantage of the circumstance and punched Cornelius in his stomach. Cornelius was punched so hard that he wasthrown off his balance and wobbled backward. He was bleeding from his nose and mouth, and he could feel his true energyseeping away.

“You ... You're really despicable! ”

Cornelius wiped away the trickle of blood from the corner of his mouth. He was gasping for breath, and his forehead wasdrenched in sweat. “All is fair in love and war. What's wrong if | have a trick or two up my sleeves so | can win?”

Ray let out a wild laugh, “For all the years that you have lived, don’t you know that the martial world is a dangerous place, andthere’s no one you can trust? Serves you right!”

He knew he couldn’t win in a direct confrontation, so he used the Tranqurin that he treasured. Anyone below the rank of agrandmaster would feel weak the moment they came into contact with it.

“You bastard! | can’t believe you’re from a good guild. Aren’t you ashamed of yourself for using tricks?” Cornelius yelled angrily.

“Ashamed? The winner takes all. You've lost. Now, admit defeat! Stop yapping. You die now!” Ray snorted and rushed forwardwith his fist raised, ready to punch Cornelius.

The punch would be deadly. Before the punch even landed, one could already feel its pressure. Cornelius could feelgoosebumps rising all over his body, and his face was contorted into a horrified expression. When he couldn’t summon his true energy, there was no way he could survive this punch. At the very last moment, a silvernovelbin

needle flew out of nowhere and struck Ray’s fist.

“Huh?” Ray trembled and retrieved his punch quickly. It was as if he was electrocuted. He looked up and saw Dustin's cold eyes.He shouted, “Hey, you! How dare you stop me?”

“You used Tranqurin, you’ve already won the battle. Why did you have to kill him, too? | don’t think that's fair.” Dustin repliedcalmly.

“Hmph! | kill whoever | please! It’s none of your business! If you insist on making it difficult, I'll kill you too!” Ray threatened loudly.“Kill me? You’re not good enough yet.”

Dustin said with a grim expression, ” And don’t say | didn’t warn you. If you act foolishly, | will beat you to death. | mean it.”
