Chapter 1136

An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori Chapter 1136

The sudden appearance of the black- clad assassins caught everyone by surprise. The whole sequence, from their arrival totheir swift attack and the brutal end, took place in the blink of an eye.

In an instant, Gage’s hand-picked death warriors were decapitated. The scene unfolded so rapidly that no one had time toregister what was happening. Amid a chaotic clang of metal, Gage’s death warriors fell to the ground without their heads.

The black-clad assassins clearly outnumbered them. Then, the assassins awaited orders as they stood on either side with thesevered heads.

“Huh?”novelbin

Gage was speechless as he stared at his fallen warriors. He had never expected such a formidable force within the Murrayhousehold.

His carefully laid plans had collapsed. It was a truly startling turn of events. Slowly approaching him, Christopher spoke in ameasured tone. “Gage, you overestimated yourself and underestimated the strength of the Murray family.

“Did you really think five years of planning could topple a family with decades of history and power? To me, your scheming andtrickery were like child's play.”

He added, “Did you think | wouldn’t notice your dark machinations? Did you think your infiltrated agents could escape myattention? I’ve been aware of every move but chose not to expose you.

Christopher took a deep breath and said, “I hope you can still find a way back from this dark path. Please, Gage, give up now.

“If you repent, show remorse, and change, | can pretend that today never happened. You're still my son, the most promising heirof the Murray family. Can you promise me that?”

With those words, Christopher held out his hand. His face showed a mixture of hope and hesitation.

Family ties ran deep, and Gage was his son, no matter what. Despite Gage’s grave faults, Christopher would protect him if hedecided to change. Suddenly, Gage chuckled bitterly, his laughter filled with mockery.

“Christopher, there’s no need to pretend. Do you think saying all that now will make a difference? The victor takes all, and | lost. |don’t want your sympathy, and | certainly don’t need your pity!”

Christopher pleaded, “Why do you persist? It’s not too late to turn back. We can start over.” “Start over? How can anything be thesame? Can you bring my wife back to life? That’s absurd!”

Gage’s face contorted with malice. “I admit defeat, but even if | die, I'll take some of you with me. | want you to live with thatregret!”

With these words, he displayed a series of explosive devices strapped to his body.“Gage, please do not do this!”

Christopher's face finally showed fear and concern. The others in the hall panicked and quickly scattered. They had neverimagined that Gage was carrying so many bombs. This was a suicidal act!

“Go to hell!”Gage burst out laughing and vigorously pressed the detonation button. Christopher lunged forward. But just as his fingers almosttouched Gage, the bomb exploded with a deafening boom.

Amassive explosion rocked the surrounding area, causing chaos. Gage’s body was torn apart. A huge shock wave radiatedoutward from the center of his body.

Christopher, who had rushed toward Gage earlier, was thrown through the air, spitting blood. The people near the blast were alsobadly injured. Their bodies were mangled, and blood splattered everywhere.
