chapter 84 Diane, bite him

"Woof! Awoo! Awoo…”

Diana was a Tibetan Mastiff, and under normal circumstances, she would not make such a barkingsound.

But at this moment, Diana was fuming, letting out a canine's instinctive howl upon seeing Oliviacornered by Xavier, who exuded a strong aura of danger.

Xavier frowned, looked at the ferocious dog, and smiled. "Hey, she's quite scary."

The corner of Olivia's mouth twitched. "Wow. I didn't know you're afraid of dogs?"

Xavier raised his brow. "Afraid?"

Why would he be afraid of Diana when he could train her quickly?

Xavier turned to look at Olivia, and when he saw the cunning look in her eyes, he knew that Oliviahad teased him on purpose.

He immediately smiled. "So, Mrs. Si, aren't you going to protect me?"

Olivia pretended to be nervous and shrank behind Xavier. "How can you ask me to stand up andprotect you when you fear the dog yourself?"

Xavier blinked. "You're right."

That said, Xavier took two steps forward and waved at the ferocious Tibetan Mastiff. Then, like amagic trick, he threw an item from his hand.

Diana, who was originally vigilant, immediately pounced on him.

At this moment, Xavier took the opportunity to step forward, grabbed Diana's scruff, gently turnedher head, and led her to the open space next to them.

Diana didn't gain an upper hand at all. She was still confused by Xavier's action when she wastaken to the side by him.

The dog thought there would be a fight between her and Xavier.

But in the end, she was controlled by Xavier as he messed with her.

The most frightening thing was that Diana had so much fun she forgot about her purpose to fightwith Xavier.

Olivia didn't know what to say.

She expected Diana, the stupid dog, to fight with Xavier.

Sure enough, it turned out Olivia had placed too high of an expectation on Diana.

Olivia mused, "How smart can Gerald's dog be?"

Olivia regretted not educating Diana better before leaving the Medicine Valley.

"Achoo!"

A sneezing sound rang from the inside of the house.

Then came the scolding from Gerald. "Which idiot has just cursed me while on my property? Do youhave a death wish?"

Olivia caressed her nose and thought, "Can Gerald read my mind? How does he know I wasthinking badly about him?"

Gerald opened the window and saw Olivia standing at the bottom of the hill.

He snorted coldly. "Wow. What happened? Why did our busy brat return?"

Olivia jumped onto the hillside and climbed up to the balcony of Gerald's tiny house. She smiled athim, saying, "Ah, I miss you, so I came back!"

"I don't trust you!" Gerald spat. "You're such a heartless woman. I'm afraid you want to steal thegood stuff in the Medicine Valley, right?"

Olivia mused, "Not really… I want to stay here and recuperate for two days and refine more pillsbefore heading out again."

There were a lot of things that Olivia needed to do, which required her to use a considerableamount of medicine.

Although she was not short of money now, there were so many free medicinal ingredients in theMedicine Valley. They would all go to waste if she didn't use them, so there was no point for Oliviato purchase these medicinal ingredients purposely.

The most important thing was that it was peaceful and relaxing for Olivia to refine her pills here. Moreover, the Medicine Valley had all the equipment and tools ready for her to use, and the placewas close to Xavier's villa, so why not take advantage of this opportunity?

"Ouch..." Olivia let out a low cry after Gerald suddenly knocked on her head.

He scolded her, "Why, you brat? Did I guess your motive correctly? Huh? You always come backempty-handed but to steal my things. Doesn't it hurt your conscience to do so?"

Olivia smiled, wanting to placate him. "Oh, master! What do you mean by stealing? Please don'tmake it sound so bad. I noticed that you worked so hard to grow so many amazing medicinal

ingredients. Still, no one cares about them, and you can't sell them, so I'm kind enough to returnhere, wanting to aid you in utilizing these medicinal ingredients to their highest values! You shouldthank me instead!"

Gerald wanted to slap Olivia angrily before she could finish her words.

But Olivia was well prepared and quickly dodged his attack.

Then, the two started chasing each other again. The valley was filled with the voice of Oliviabegging for mercy while Gerald scolded her.

After Xavier managed to tame Diana, he walked over to the front of the house while caressing thedog's head, and he saw Gerald and Olivia standing on both sides of the house, panting.

One was trying to stop the other person from running away, and the other was trying to stop theother person from chasing her. It was a humorous sight to behold.

Xavier coughed. "Hi, Mr. Yao. Hi, Dr. Xue."novelbin

Hearing the voice, Gerald's face darkened. He glanced at Xavier frostily, widening his eyes andsaying in shock, "It's you? You're from the Si Family?"

"It's been a long time, Mr. Yao." Xavier raised the corners of his mouth slightly and smiled lazily. Helooked even more beautiful than the spectacular scene of green grass and wildflowers growing allover the mountains and plains.

Olivia secretly cursed at Xavier for being so pretty-looking, but she couldn't shift her eyes away fromhim.

"Why are you here?" Gerald looked at Xavier, then at Diana, whom Xavier tamed, and finally, hiseyes fell on Olivia.

"Ollie, did you bring him here?" If she didn't, that would mean that Xavier tailed her here.

But Gerald instinctively refused to accept the second explanation.

He mused, "Xavier is that old man's apprentice! If the old man's apprentice so easily followed Oliviawithout her noticing, it would bring shame to my name."

"Ah." Olivia lazily walked out with her hands inside her pockets. She stood next to Xavier and saidto Gerald, "He's my lover. He said he has met you before, so I brought him over to show you."

Gerald felt his age was catching up on him, and his ears were not working properly.

Otherwise, why could he understand Olivia's words separately, but he needed clarification when hepieced the words together?

He wondered, "Her lover? Bring him over to show me? She… She…”

"Wait. Ollie, are you sure what you just said is correct?"

It had only been a few years since they last met, and Gerald remembered that Olivia was just in hertwenties, so why did she suddenly have a lover?

Gerald suddenly felt like his precious treasure had been snatched away by others, which greatlydistressed him.

"You heard me right, and I said it correctly. I meant what I said." Olivia shrugged, uttering thoseshocking words again.

It took Gerald several minutes to come to his senses. He walked up to Xavier step by step andsized him up. "Do you want to be my apprentice's lover?"

"I have to thank Dr. Xue for not looking down at me. Thank you, Mr. Yao, for your careful cultivationof Dr. Xue and willingness to relinquish your treasure to me." Xavier smiled happily, and it made hisgorgeous face even more attractive.

But Gerald's face darkened, and he gritted his teeth. "Reliquinsh my treasure?"

Xavier raised his brow and looked at Olivia beside him, having a bad feeling all of a sudden.

Immediately afterward, Gerald let out an angry growl. "You snatched my apprentice, who I cultivatedwith care, away, and now you are flaunting your achievement before me?!"

"Do you have a death wish?" Gerald shouted, grabbing the broom beside him and beating Xavierviolently.

Of course, Xavier wouldn't stand still for Gerald to beat him up. As soon as Gerald moved, Xavierquickly ran away.

So, Gerald started chasing after Xavier, running all over the valley.

"Diana, bite him. Bite him! You brat! How dare you make a move on Olivia? Bite him to death!"

Poor Diana thought the two men were playing, so she sprinted forward excitedly, running with themwhile shouting happily.

As for biting Xavier? Diana would never do that.
