“Haha, wallet? What wallet? I only remember that you’ve not handed in your protection racket. Sinceyou have come, give me all your valuables now, or else don’t blame me for attacking.”

“Let me repeat myself. Give me back my wallet.” Rowan scowled at him.

“Do you understand, bastard? I want you to hand in the protection racket. Don’t even think aboutgetting back your wallet. You must be dreaming…Ouch!”

Tony was furious, just as he was rushing over to grab Rowan’s collar. He was seized in the wrist and letout a horrifying scream.

He did not even see Rowan making a move. He only felt a numbing pain on his wrist and saw a redwound appearing.

In a few seconds, Tony felt immense pain in areas where the arteries were located.

Fresh blood was gushing out from all the wounds, and he looked like a human blood fountain.

All the people that were at the scene were shocked.

“You…what did you do to me?!”

Tony trembled in fear as he glanced at him.

Just as he was talking, he felt blood gushing out from his neck as well.

His face has turned as pale as paper.

There was only one thought in his head.

Run!

However, his body did not respond to his orders, and his legs went numb from being too scared.

Tony’s hands were covered in blood, and he slowly took out a handkerchief from his pocket and wipedthe blood off his hand thoroughly.

“Give me back my wallet,” Rowan repeated.

Tony just wanted to live.

Rowan frowned at him and threw some cash from his wallet to the floor.

“Pretending to be the Quincy will only make you die faster. Take this money, and never show up again.”

After leaving Rowan, Madeline went to Cambria Bar to find Elise.

Although she did not like going to the bar, she felt bad for leaving Elise alone.

After the incident with Rowan, Madeline felt more cheerful and no longer felt heated and it made hermore energetic.

She was also craving for Elise’s cooking.

A few minutes later, Madeline pulled Elise, who was having fun on the dance floor, out of the bar.

“Maddie, it’s been quite some time since I came to a bar. I’m not satisfied yet, I haven’t even drunk!”

“Stop that. Let’s go and have some ‘real’ fun!”

“What do you mean?” Elise was confused.

Madeline started the engine and drove off without telling her where.

Although she didn’t know where she was going to be “kidnapped” to, she realized that Madeline’s moodwas better.

As long as Maddie was happier, Elise did not mind accompanying her everywhere Maddie went!

However, ten minutes later, Elise regretted her decision when she saw Madeline parked in front of themarket.

“Maddie, I don’t think it’s appropriate to go to the market with mini skirts…”

“Of course, but I’m a bit hungry.”

“Uh, okay, if you say so!” Elise was willing to accompany Madeline.

That was the first time Madeline went to a market since she came back from overseas. She felt at easewhen she saw the hectic crowd in the market and smelled the air filled with smoke from food.

“Maddie, I do feel a bit hungry after coming in. Do you reckon we should order some crayfish beforegoing back?”

At the market, there were a lot of stalls selling seafood.

Fresh seafood that was sold to customers was cooked immediately on the spot, sometimes the food inthe market tasted better than a regular restaurant.

As soon as she entered the market, she could smell the aroma of food and salivate at the sight ofcrayfish sold at a stall nearby.

“Okay, let’s go have some crayfish.”

“How about some barbeque?”

“I heard that the grilled sweet potatoes here are pretty good, it was even on the list of must-eatrestaurants on the internet!”

“Okay, we’ll buy whatever you want!”

“Hmm, Maddie, are you over it?”

“I haven’t said yes to Noah, but he has the right to love someone else, and if that’s the case then great!I will leave with the children, and we will live our separate lives.”

“Pity Noah!” Elise could not help but shake her head.

It was obvious that Maddie had not gotten over him. There were so many men out there, and there willbe someone better than Noah!

No matter who Madeline loves, I will support her!

Elise thought to herself while peeling the shrimp and putting them into Madeline’s plate.

“Come, Maddie. There’s nothing a meal of crayfish can’t solve! If there is, then have two meals!”

Madeline laughed at her words.

While at the same time, Noah and Dylan were hiding behind a pile of spinach at a stall. They werestalking the two ladies.

“Noah, I don’t think it’s a good idea to stalk them,” Dylan asked in a low voice while hiding behindNoah. His head popped out behind Noah’s shoulder while grabbing

his arm.
