Chapter 1634

"Jared, this tome was passed down from our seniors. It contains information about ancient ruins

belonging to lost sects. You can just pick any one of them," said Skylar.

"What if I took this tome away?"

Jared smiled coldly.

"You can't do that. This is a valuable resource for Warriors Alliance. We've been successful all these

years thanks to the wealth of knowledge contained in the text. Apart from the higher-ups, nobody else

has access to its contents. The fact that we're willing to allow you to have a glimpse and pick an

ancient ruin is a sign of good faith!" huffed Skylar, his expression cold.

Jared did not respond to this. Instead, he just flipped through the old tome.

The pages were filled with the names of many ancient ruins, as well as detailed descriptions of the lost

sects themselves.

With each turn of the page, Jared felt that he was discovering a whole new continent. He never thought

that Warriors Alliance could possess such a treasure trove of information.

Skylar noticed that Jared was taking his time flipping through the pages. With an arched brow, Skylar

said, "Let me give you a word of advice. The further you go into the tome, the more valuable the

resources found in the ancient ruins. Naturally, it'll make your expedition more dangerous as well. I

guess it depends on whether or not you have the guts to take the risk."novelbin

Having said that, Skylar stared at Jared, waiting to see how the latter was going to respond.

When Jared heard that, he immediately turned the pages until he reached the list of ancient ruins at the

end of the book.

Upon realizing what Jared had done, Skylar could not help but smirk.

He said those things earlier to deliberately goad Jared.

After all, what if Jared picked a particularly dangerous ancient ruin to explore? There was no telling if

he was going to survive.

If that happened, Skylar's vengeance would have been fulfilled, and Jared could no longer be a threat

to Warriors Alliance.

Very soon, Jared's gaze settled on an ancient ruin.

This particular ruin used to be owned by a sect called Skywrath Sect. The sect had a heavy emphasis

on charm spells as part of its training regimen.

Skywrath Sect caught Jared's eye because he was the weakest when it came to casting charm spells.

Flaxseed, on the other hand, was a more proficient spellcaster. If he went along on the trip, it would

have made things easier for Jared as well.

"I choose this one," said Jared as he pointed at the ancient ruin.

Skylar gave it a cursory glance and asked someone to fetch a pen so that Jared could take notes.

Shortly after, Skylar made a checkmark indicating the ruins had been looked into.

Jared pocketed a copy of the map he had made earlier and returned the tome to Skylar once more.

"Well then. Now that we've put our grievances behind us, I hope you're no longer going to hold a

grudge over the death of your father," said Jared mildly.

"Of course not..."

Skylar held back the burning anger within him and forced out a mild smile.

"That being said, we may have put the past behind us, but don't forget that Warriors Alliance is still

holding my girlfriend captive. Do you think I'm going to let that slide? If Warriors Alliance won't let her

go, then I will lay waste to this entire organization!" said Jared grimly. Updated at Dr?manovеls.cоm

Everyone could feel the murderous aura that radiated off Jared's body. It seemed that with a single

snap of his fingers, Jared could decimate Warriors Alliance just like that.

"What is the meaning of this?" hissed Skylar and his face was now a mask of unconcealed rage.
