"Be careful. My father's there!" Edgar warned.
Jared stared at the four Black Copper Robe warriors before him and frowned. "Four middle-phased
Martial Arts Marquis fighters. This really shows how serious the Warriors Alliance is about killing me..."
The four Black Copper Robe warriors surrounded him. He had no way out.
"Jared Chance, surrender now or suffer the consequences!"
Their terrifying auras sent a chill down everyone's spine.
Jared's face darkened as he wrapped one arm tightly around Ryker. He knew Ryker was the only
reason the warriors were hesitant to strike. This is my chance to escape.
Jared slowly reached for his Necro Ring. He planned to use the Necro Ring's teleportation magecraft to
escape.
Even though he had a fighting chance against the four Martial Arts Marquis, he decided against it
because he was worried that the Warriors Alliance might send them back up, seeing as they were at
Jadeborough.
"I have Ryker with me here. Are you sure you want to fight me?" Jared stared at the Black Copper
Robe warriors coldly and asked.
"Haha. So what if you kill him? Our mission is to kill you. We don't care whether he's dead or alive."
One of the Black Copper Robe warriors broke out into laughter.
All these people cared about was completing the mission, and they weren't about to make an exception
for Ryker.
Ryker's expression darkened at those words as he felt he was being disrespected.
Edgar, in turn, spun around to face Zion. "President Zeigler, what is the meaning of this?"
"Don't worry, Mr. Edgar. They don't mean it. I assure you, Mr. Ryker will be fine."
Zion comforted Edgar when, in reality, he held no power over those four Black Copper Robe warriors.
"All right. I'll kill him since he is of no use to me."
With that, Jared aimed a palm strike at Ryker.
One of the Black Copper Robe warriors immediately aimed a punch at Jared, while another dashed
forward to snag Ryker in the nick of time.
Jared never intended to kill Ryker. He was merely using the latter as bait to distract the Black Copper
Robe warriors.
Seizing the opportunity, he threw the Necro Ring into the air. A black hole immediately appeared in
midair.
However, just as Jared was about to escape through the black hole, a golden beam flickered, and a
glowing magical item floating in midair came into sight.
Not only did the bright, magical item illuminate the entire martial arts arena, but it also blocked Jared's
escape route.
The black hole disappeared, and the Necro Ring fell to the ground.
"Hahaha, we saw this coming, so we prepared for it!" Zion uttered with a guffaw.
Meanwhile, Fernando, who was among the crowd, couldn't help but gasp in awe when he saw the
magical item floating in midair. "Who would have thought that the Warriors Alliance has a teleportation
device up their sleeve?"
"Dad, what is a teleportation device?" Astrid asked out of curiosity.
"You'll understand in the future. It looks like Jared is in deep trouble now..." Fernando said as he kept
his eyes peeled on the martial arts arena.
Jared immediately pulled out his Dragonslayer Sword as soon as he realized his escape route had
been cut off. At the same time, he started to glow as the Golem's Body covered his entire body.
"Let's see how strong your arcane array is."
With that, Jared swung his Dragonslayer Sword in the air toward the magical item.
The sharp sword's energy slashed through the air.
However, the sword's energy vanished just before it came into contact with the magical item.
Jared frowned. He swung his sword at the magical item again, but the sword energy vanished once
more without a trace. He couldn't break away from the arcane array when his sword couldn't evennovelbin
reach the magical item.
Zion's lips curled into a smile at the scene.
"Stop wasting your energy. This is a teleportation device. Your sword energy didn't vanish. It was
merely teleported to another dimension."
Just then, a voice whispered in Jared's ear.
