Chapter 1491

In an average restaurant in Jadeborough, Jared was sitting at the table in black clothes after some

simple disguise, eating.

He was there to get some information on the Warriors Alliance's movements in the past two days.

There was a twofold reason for his ruthlessness in the past two days. Besides exacting his revenge, he

also wanted to snag the attention of the Warriors Alliance and have the elites within the alliance hunt

the so-called black-robed man.

Then, he could seize the opportunity when the Warriors Alliance's headquarters had insufficient

manpower to slip in and save Josephine. After all, he hadn't full confidence to storm the place forcibly

yet.

While he was eating, his attention was suddenly attracted by four figures.

Four elderly men wearing different expressions stepped into the restaurant. Ordering some food, they

started eating, yet their expressions remained as solemn as ever.

"The Villainous Four? Why are they here in Jadeborough? Don't tell me they know I'm dead and came

to avenge me?"

At The Villainous Four's appearance, Jared couldn't help feeling both apprehensive and worried.

However, he couldn't possibly walk up to them and make himself known when there were so many

people coming and going. He could only wait quietly.

In no time, The Villainous Four left the restaurant after eating. He followed closely behind them.

It was already dark then, with a few stars scattered across the sky.

Unexpectedly, The Villainous Four deliberately chose pitch-dark places, walking wherever there were

no streetlights.

When they turned into an alley, Jared followed suit and did the same.

But after making the turn, he saw no signs of them ahead. While he was stumped, The Villainous Four

had already leaped down from above and surrounded him.

"Who are you? And why are you following us?" Oakley demanded, glaring at him.

Mirth bubbled within Jared when he saw that they didn't recognize him. He decided to test their

capabilities at present.

"I saw the four of you acting suspicious and felt that you must be up to no good, so I followed you for a

look," Jared said in a hoarse voice, manipulating his vocal cords.

The instant Oakley heard that, his expression darkened.

"Don't yak with him, Oakley. Just kill him. We've still got business to attend to."

Right after saying that, Brody shot his fist out at Jared.

The four of them had cultivated in Pentacarna Tower, so they were all Martial Arts Marquises then. As

such, Brody's capabilities weren't to be underestimated either.

The terrifying punch cut through the air and headed straight for Jared.

Fist shadows manifested. Although it was a single punch, countless fist shadows surrounded Jared and

slammed into him mercilessly.

Bam! Bam! Bam!

A series of muffled thuds rang out, but Jared remained rooted to the spot without budging an inch.

"There's still much room for improvement," Jared commented.

Right then, Brody was already stupefied. He gaped at the man incredulously, not quite believing that

his punch didn't harm a hair on the latter's head. In fact, it didn't even budge him.

The others were, likewise, shocked. Travis, however, chastised Brody, "Are you a weakling, Brody?

Why don't you have any strength?"novelbin

After reproving the latter, he abruptly unleashed his aura. A distinct wave of martial energy traveled

through his body before converging on his right hand.

A layer of faint white light started enveloping his hand, exuding martial energy.

On the heels of that, he let out a roar and swung his fist at Jared.

This time, he didn't bother with anything fancy but focused on boosting his brute strength to the

maximum.

Bang!

A deafening boom that sounded like a crack of thunder pierced the air. Travis promptly flew out, his

entire arm starting to grow numb and tremble uncontrollably.

But when he swung his gaze on Jared, he found that the man still hadn't budged an inch, nor did he

even sway on his feet.
