Chapter 2211 She had already taken off the necklace and planned to return it to Alexis later.Contents belong to NovelDrama.Org

Laura wasn't particularly close to Alexis.

As Laura pondered, Dylan broke the silence.

“Edwin is shameless, and his sister, even more so. With the way she flaunts her wealth, she could easily charm young girls." He paused, adding, “She's tall, almost 5.6 feet, the kind many young girls nowadays find attractive-beautiful and cool. It'd be hard for anyone not to be attracted.” Laura responded quietly, “My mom once told me about Miss Fowler. She was in love with a childhood friend, but he and Edwin went abroad for study and he never really came back. Their relationship just—ended.” This memory, still vivid from a few years back, seemed more relevant now with Edwin in her life.

The thought of him made Laura lose her desire to continue the conversation.

Dylan sensed her mood shift and chose not to delve further.

After dropping Laura off at her apartment, he called out to her as she was about to head up the stairs.

“Laural” She turned to face him.

Dylan sat in his car, the night wind playing with his hair, giving him an effortlessly attractive look.

He asked softly, “Next year, I might go back to North America. Would you like to come with me?” North America? Laura knew about Dylan's successful family business there. His invitation sounded almost like a confession, given he was just her agent.

She was aware that being with Dylan would mean being well cared for, but she hadn't developed any romantic feelings for him.

Going with him just because he was good to her wouldn't be fair to either of them.

Laura remained silent.

Dylan, understanding, gave her a gentle smile and waved.

“Maybe you'll change your mind in a few days!” Laura hummed a noncommittal response, somewhat naively, watching him drive away before stepping into the elevator to go home.

Upon exiting the elevator, Laura was met with a surprising sight. A tall figure, dressed formally, leaned against her doorstep. His long legs seemed almost too large for the space.

It was Edwin.
