Sage was nettled by lan's behavior. Refusing to engage with him, she plugged the landline back and called the hotel front desk.She asked, "Do you have any more rooms available? I'd like to book a new room."

lan did not comment on her actions after noticing her disheveled hair and her lonely figure in the bed. He retrieved a medicatedcream from the table and applied it on her left hand.
His skin was cold to the touch. Perhaps because it was chilly at night. She felt a slight discomfort when her skin came intocontact with his fingers. She wanted to pull back, but he tightened his grip.
He instructed her, "Don't move."
She didn't want to cause a ruckus in the middle of the night. Therefore, she quietly laid down sideways until he was doneapplying the cream. "How about the injury on your shoulder? Have you applied the spray medication?” he questioned.

She finally turned to face him with an icy expression. "What if Ivy is implicated?"
